BioD’s product portfolio consists of human placental tissue-derived allografts.

Placental tissues have been used as biologic dressings for over 100 years. Today, our products are being used in a broad range of clinical applications, including the treatment of complex chronic wounds, acute wounds (for example, decubitus or pressure ulcers), and localized areas of injury or inflammation, in addition to filling soft tissue defects or voids. Our products are also used as a localized wound covering to minimize the formation of post-operative adhesions, as well as to cover or wrap the dura, nerves and tendons. Through the development of innovative processing techniques that minimally manipulate the tissue, we are harnessing the unique biologic properties of the placental tissues to improve clinical outcomes.

Placental tissue-derived allografts are a natural alternative to synthetic, cadaveric or animal derived regenerative products.
